Lauren, Leesa and Kacy Osborne and Amy Litfin are also selling lots of raffle tickets … would you like to win this 4.5 litre bottle of Bundy? Then head on down to the Warana Hotel

August 26, 2015

The faces behind the bar at Wondai’s Warana Hotel are definitely not ugly … but they’re eager to prove they’re U.G.L.Y.

And they do need your help!

U.G.L.Y. stands for “Understanding, Likeable, Generous You” – the challenge sent out to bar staff by the Leukaemia Foundation.

The Warana team – Lauren, Leesa and Kacy Osborne and Amy Litfin – are raising funds for the Foundation via the annual “U.G.L.Y. Bartender Of The Year” event.

This is the first year the Warana Hotel has taken part and you could say they’re going the whole hog.

The pub has organised pig races which will be held from 10:00am on Saturday, September 12, as their major fundraiser.

Calcuttas will be run all day, with great prize money to be won.

The women have also been running raffles and trivia nights, collecting loose cash from patrons and offering drink specials.

So far, they’ve raised nearly $1000 but they hope the pig races will really bring home the bacon …

In Nanango, another U.G.L.Y. Bartender is also working hard to raise funds.

Jenna Adams’ key event will be on Saturday night (August 29).

X Factor and Australian Idol 2014 finalist James Johnston will be appearing at the Nanango RSL from 7:00pm as part of Jenna’s fundraising efforts.

Half of the $20 per head admission will go to the U.G.L.Y. event.
