Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has praised her Federal counterpart for securing millions of dollars in funding through the Mobile Black Spot Program to improve mobile phone coverage across the South Burnett.

Mrs Frecklington said Federal Member for Maranoa Bruce Scott deserved thanks for last week’s announcement.

“Access to better communications is a daily issue for our region, but with this announcement, I’m looking forward to more people in our community having better mobile phone coverage,” she said.

“In the South Burnett, there’ll improved service for areas like Booie, Kingaroy-Coolabunia, Kumbia, Maidenwell and Wattle Camp.

“These improvements will go a long way towards helping people run their businesses, increasing safety on rural properties and providing greater connectivity while driving throughout the region.”
