Anzac Day commemorations in the South Burnett aren’t just confined to the larger population centres … just about every township or village also marks the day with pride.
Extra efforts were made this year because of the Gallipoli Centenary.
In Wooroolin, the traditional parade down the highway was followed by a service in the Memorial Hall with a guest speaker, live music and choir presentations.
The Roll of Honour was also read and wreaths placed at the front of the stage.
Ceremonies were also held at Proston and Boondooma, Maidenwell, Hivesville, Kumbia, Bunya Mountains and Cooyar.

At the Proston State School Anzac Day commemoration on April 24 … a good crowd also turned out for Proston’s Dawn Service on Anzac Day, including horseriders from the Golden Spurs campdraft, scouts and schoolchildren; wreaths were also laid at Boondooma Homestead
