Pretty in pink… Rose Kenyon and Allan Legge, from Kingaroy, and Giovanna Legge, from Brisbane

May 15, 2015

The annual Mother’s Day Classic fun run / walk was the reason why Kingaroy’s Memorial Park was full of people wearing pink early on Sunday morning.

The event  is part of nationwide fundraising program to help the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

After earlier fears that the run may not take place this year – its fourth year in Kingaroy –  Zarly Anne’s Fitness, of Kingaroy, stepped in to take over the organisation duties.

This kept Devon Hansen and Zarly Steffensen very busy on Sunday as they made sure everything was just right.

The run was held in 104 locations around Australia.

The brave walkers / runners not only tackled the two courses – 8km and 4km – they also braved a chilly Kingaroy autumn morning.
