An 18-year-old youth was airlifted to hospital on Saturday morning after an accident at the Manumbar Campdraft.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ CareFlight helicopter flew the teenage boy, who fell from a horse, to Nambour Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.

While still at Nambour Hospital, the crew were directed to attend another accident, this time in a forestry area west of Gympie.

A man aged in his 50s taking part in a off-road motorcycle event was injured when his bike apparently hit a ditch.

A QAS paramedic on board the CareFlight helicopter was winched down to the scene just after noon, treated the patient and prepared him to be winched into the aircraft.

The man was then flown to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.

Ironically, the off-road motorcycle event was a fundraiser for RACQ CareFlight.
