Gardeners love the rain, so overcast skies and a bit of morning drizzle weren’t going to keep them away from Wondai’s huge Autumn Garden Expo at the weekend.

Wondai Sportsground was filled with stalls offering all sorts of plants, from cacti to fruit trees and everything in between.

If it was even slightly garden-related, it was there.

A large crowd packed into the hall and stalls area throughout Saturday, only thinning out a bit as it drew towards closing time.

But many were back again on Sunday morning to pick up more ideas for their gardens.

A special attraction on both Saturday and Sunday were talks by WIN-TV gardening expert Brian Sams who shared tips and answered questions from the audience.

Providing musical entertainment was the Stolzenberg Brothers. The Stolzies have now notched up 11 years playing at Wondai Garden Expos.

The next major public event for the Wondai Garden Club will be the Wondai Spring Garden Expo which will be held in September.
