Competition leaders Wooroolin Warriors proved too strong for Kingaroy RSL Services in their B Grade cricket match against Warriors played at Taabinga State School in Kingaroy on Saturday

RSL won the toss and elected to bat.

They were all out for 156 off 39.4 overs.

Jacob Arden top-scored with 58 while Brian Walters made 36.

Hayden Wieck took five wickets for Warriors for just 33 runs off his seven overs. Ian Haack finished with 4/10 off just 5.4 overs.

In reply, Warriors overhauled the target in 29 overs, finishing with 4/158.

Wieck matched his five wicket bowling haul by top-scoring with 61 runs.

Paul Clegg made 25.

Best of the RSL Services’ bowlers were Jacob Arden (2/32 off eight overs) and Jack Hourn (1/16 off three overs).

Warriors won by six wickets.

Murgon Diggers batted first against the Kumbia Rattlers in their B Grade game at Kumbia.

Diggers were 8/162 after their 40 overs with  Rodney Anderson (34), Al Woodall (31) and Gabe Crane (21) adding most of the runs.

Best of the Kumbia bowlers were Tavis Hartwig (3/34 off seven overs), Ryan Kelly (2/25 off 8) and Corey Cross (1/5 off 4).

In reply, Kumbia withstood the Diggers’ bowling attack and lost just one wicket, that of Tavis Hartwig for 55, on their way to the target.

The Rattlers were 1/165 after 37 overs.

Alex Firman (56) and Chris Medcalf (34) were the not out batsmen.

Edward Allcock took the sole wicket, finishing with 1/26 off four overs.

Kumbia won by three overs.
