A string of minor traffic crashes has kept Kingaroy police busy over the past few days.

About 8:00am today, a 52-year-old man from Whichello, near Crows Nest, escaped injury when his Hilux ute hit a power pole on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road near Kingaroy Airport.

Police called Ergon Energy because of damage to the pole.

Power was disrupted to residents in parts of Taabinga, Goodger, Brooklands, Ellesmere, Haly Creek and the Kumbia area for several hours while repairs were carried out.

The road was briefly closed to traffic.

The driver has been issued with a traffic infringement notice alleging he failed to have proper control of his vehicle.

At 10:30am on Friday, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Haly and Youngman streets in Kingaroy.

Police will allege the driver of one of the vehicles, a 79-year-old Memerambi man, failed to stop at a red light.

One of the vehicles spun around and struck the traffic lights.

Police, council workers and an Ergon Energy crew attended the scene.

No one was injured in the crash.

At 4:30pm on Monday, a 38-year-old Kingaroy woman allegedly lost control of her vehicle on Malar Road at Booie, running off the road.

She was not injured in the incident but has received a ticket for failing to maintain proper control of her vehicle.
