St Mary’s Catholic College’s Prep to Year 7 students recently performed a musical, “Peace Child”.

The performance was produced by Mrs Tamara Collins, the College’s Dance and Drama teacher.

Mrs Collins auditioned students from Prep to Year 7 and produced the musical after school rehearsals during Term 4.

“Peace Child”  tells the story of two tribes divided by a river and years of intolerance and hatred who are brought together through the birth of a peace child.

College principal Michael Nayler said he was extremely proud of his students’ talent.

“There was barely a dry eye in the house as the incredibly moving story of the Peace Child reached its climax,” he said.

Mrs Collins said she was also proud that her talented young actors had worked so hard and created such an outstanding production.
