Students, parents and teachers converged on St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy on Thursday night to celebrate the arts in all its forms.
There was singing, dancing, music and artworks of all descriptions.
The school’s annual Arts Showcase at the Mary Knoll Centre included paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs and mixed media works by students from all grades.
St Mary’s art teacher Bron Langford-Martoo, who curated the annual showcase, said she was very pleased with the overall quality of the students’ work.
“Some of our students have exhibited at other exhibitions during the course of the last year and their works have been well-received,” she said.
“Our school is very proud of the talents our students possess.”
Year 12 students tackled works exploring the human condition, and the results produced some of the most striking pieces in the show.
