Purser’s Coaches will honour any pre-purchased tickets sold by Brisbane Bus Lines when it takes over the Murgon-Caboolture-Murgon run on Monday.

In a shock announcement earlier this month, Brisbane Bus Lines said it was axeing the service from November 29.

Murgon-based Purser’s immediately stepped forward to fill the gap on a three-month trial.

Readers queried what would happen with pre-paid tickets for journeys after November 29, but a Purser’s spokesman confirmed today these tickets would be honoured.

The new Purser’s run will leave Murgon at 7:00am and Caboolture at 4:30pm, Monday To Friday.

Translink has recommended that travellers used a GO card when they catch the connecting train at Caboolture.

This will save at least 30 per cent compared with a paper ticket. The GO card, which can be bought at Caboolture railway station, can be used across all bus, train and ferry services in the Translink network.

One Response to "Purser’s To Honour Old Tickets"

  1. Good to see Purser’s bus take over the run from Brisbane Bus Lines. As I work during the week makes it hard now that the bus only runs Monday to Friday. I use the bus on the Friday and come back on Sunday. Some people use the bus on the weekend to visit friends or family especially if the don”t have a car. Just disappointed.
