South Burnett Regional Council chief executive officer Ken McLoughlin was the special guest at Murgon State High School’s annual speech night on Thursday.
Mr McLoughlin shared words of encouragement with the departing Year 12 students and presented a number of prizes, including the shield to 2014 Senior Dux Sarah Anderson.
Parents, students and guests filled Murgon Town Hall to celebrate the academic, cultural and sporting achievements of students over the past 12 months.
Also announced on the evening were the School Captains for 2015: Jenna Marschall and Andrew Jensen.
