Some of Australia’s finest shooters packed into the Kingaroy Clay Target Club grounds at the weekend for the 2014 Australian Clay Target Association Commonwealth Clay Target Carnival.
There were trap shooters from every State, including several Commonwealth Games representatives and dual Olympian George Barton.
By lunchtime on Friday, 137 competitors had registered – and the camping grounds were full – but even more shooters rolled up on Saturday.
This is the first year the event has been held in Queensland, and it was quite a coup for a regional club to host the event which has previously been held in capital cities.
