Local business people will be getting some unexpected exercise on Monday night thanks to two local business events being held at adjacent venues.

At 5:30pm, members of the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be gathering at 26 Alford Street (the laneway outside GJ Gardner Homes, the Nanango Electorate Office and TASTE South Burnett) for their regular Meet’n’Greet.

The event will be hosted by the two businesses and Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington.

Guest speaker will be South Burnett Tourism Association president Bernie Cooper who will be discussing the Tourism Ambassador program.

Cost is $10.

At 6:15pm, participants will then move to the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt in Glendon Street to celebrate Small Business Week in a joint function between South Burnett Directions and the KCCI.

This will feature the release of the new South Burnett Economic Development Strategy and the unveiling of South Burnett Directions’ new website.

Guest speaker will be Phil Green, the Executive Director Small Business for the Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games.

South Burnett mayor Wayne Kratzmann will also be taking a Q & A session.
