Jumping Ant Arts president Catherine Woodham and past president Fran Van Vegchel will have works on display at the Kingaroy gallery

Twelve members of Jumping Ant Arts are exhibiting works under the theme “Life Matters” at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery this month.

JAA is a local community based artists group.

In preparing for the exhibition, each artist has explored their interpretation of “Life Matters” with works depicting what is important to them.

There are a variety of media on display, including photography, watercolours, oils, acrylics, timber carving, lino cuts, ceramic, hand-hooked rugs, woven garments and more.

The works on showcase the talents of local artists Diana Bolton, Judith Brook, Cherry Coultis, Donna Flynn, Judy Gray, Carmel Nott, Fay Stumm, Fran van Vegchel, Paul van Vegchel, Max Walters, Suzi Wells and Catherine Woodham.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Cr Ros Heit tomorrow night (August 8) at 6:00pm.

It will then be open daily until October 8.
