The Nanango Cultural Centre was transformed into a wedding wonderland on Saturday morning for a very special Funfest fundraiser.
Funfest / Mardi Gras co-ordinator Sue Wallis said the original idea was a bridal parade but there was so much interest from some of the younger women in the community that it turned into a full bridal expo.
Stalls lined the room featuring everything from table decorations to photography, and music for wedding celebrations.
There was also a display of static wedding gowns from throughout the ages, along with photographs of weddings dating back to 1906.
Sue said special mention should be made of Jen’s Party Hire who provided the large bridal balloon arch through which volunteers modelled some of the loaned dresses.
Spectators enjoyed morning tea as the models paraded the wedding gowns.
Sue said Funfest had a number of other fundraisers planned ahead of this year’s festival, including a black tie casino night in July.
