Last Thursday they were graduating from the Queensland Police Academy at Oxley … now brand new constables Chad Truscott and Christie Turner are ready to tackle crime on the streets of Kingaroy.

Constable Truscott – from Adelaide – and Constable Turner – from the Sunshine Coast – have been placed at Kingaroy Police Station for 12 months.

They will work through their duties under the watchful eyes of two more senior officers, Senior-Constable Dan Walters and Senior-Constable Todd Armstrong, who will be showing them the ropes.

Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior-Sergeant Duane Frank, said yesterday the two officers could be deployed anywhere in the State following their initial appointment to Kingaroy.

There are currently 33 people based at the Kingaroy Police Station.

As well as general duties uniformed officers, there are two specialist child protection officers, three detectives, two stock and rural officers, two traffic police, a full-time police prosecutor and administration staff.

The detectives will be relocating their offices into the Artie Kerr Building later this year.
