Kingaroy ambulance officers have bid a fond farewell to their old station in Kent Street to allow the wrecking crews to move in.

The 11 staff and seven vehicles today finished a relocation into temporary premises at 213 Haly Street – the former Kingaroy Family Care medical practice building next door to McDonald’s.

The move will allow demolition to begin on their old home to make way for a new $1.5 million replacement station.

Officer-in-Charge Nolan Jones said he expected they would be in the Haly Street building for about 12 months.

Nolan said all the telephones and computers were now connected which meant it was “business as usual”.

Take a last look at the old station … demolition work will begin soon
