Kingaroy Customer Service Officer Craig Yarrow … council staff will be on hand between the holidays

December 20, 2012

South Burnett Regional Council has broken with tradition and will be open between the Christmas and New Year’s public holidays.

“Traditionally the Council is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period,” Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.

“This year we have decided to keep the Kingaroy office open for residents throughout the region who may still need to be in contact with the Council.

“We appreciate that there are many businesses and essential services that continue to assist our residents over the Christmas break and I’d like to acknowledge those who continue to work over the break.

“Council will be closed from 12.30pm on Friday, December 21, so all of our staff can have a get together for Christmas. Council’s team members have worked extremely hard throughout 2012 and Friday is a great opportunity for all of our staff to get together and celebrate all they have accomplished this year.

“I’d like to also take this opportunity to wish all of the residents of the South Burnett a Merry Christmas.”
