Mark Olive ... being brought to the region by the South Burnett Regional Council

Celebrity chef Mark Olive will be visiting the South Burnett next month as part of the South Burnett Regional Council’s Healthy Communities Initiative.

Mark – dubbed “the Black Olive” by fans – hopes to inspire and motivate the community make healthy food choices.

He will be hosting free healthy cooking demonstrations for South Burnett residents on:

  • Wednesday, May 2, at Cherbourg TAFE, doors open at 9:45am for a 10:00am start
  • Wednesday, May 2, at Wondai Memorial Hall, doors open at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm start
  • Thursday, May 3, at Kingaroy Uniting Church Hall, doors open at 9:45am for a 10:00am start
  • Thursday, May 3, at Nanango Cultural Centre, doors open at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm start
  • Friday, May 4, at Blackbutt Memorial Hall, doors open at 9:45am for a 10:00am start.

Food will be provided for the first 25 registrations in each town.

Mark will also give the audience an insight into traditional Aboriginal cooking using native Australian ingredients.
