Fair Go With Religious Freedom Workshop - Kingaroy
The Barnabas Fund will be holding two "Fair Go With Religious Freedom” workshops at the Presbyterian Church at 48 Alford Street, Kingaroy at 2:00pm and 7:00pm today in response to the Federal Government's appointment of a panel to review the status of religious freedom in Australia last November. While the panel delivered its final report in May this year, the Government has yet to release it to the public. The Barnabus Fund is a UK organisation that believes Christians are being persecuted for their faith. All interested people are welcome to attend either workshop.

SEQ Marathon Challenge - Yarraman
CANCELLED: Endurance Horse Sports Australia will be holding the third (and final) day of their 3-day SEQ Marathon Challenge at the Yarraman Showgrounds on the New England Highway west of the CBD today. This event features 20km, 40km and 60km rides and fees apply for each ride. Registrations need to be made through the EHSA website.

Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be holding its monthly meeting from 10:00am to noon this morning at the Senior Citizen Hall located at the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets (opposite SupaIGA). Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held at Nukku Nook at the head of the Blackbutt Rail Trail in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening (eyes down at 7:30pm sharp). Queens Birthday Public Holiday
Today is the Queens Birthday Public Holiday in Queensland, and most South Burnett businesses will either be closed today or operating on restricted hours. Some of the groups listed on today's Daily Calendar will be meeting as usual, and some others will be deferring their scheduled meeting - so if you're planning to go to any of them today you should ring beforehand to confirm.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. Social Golf - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt Golf Club at 51 Langton Road, Blackbutt will be running their weekly Sporters's Club game at 3:00pm this afternoon. Tai Chi For Health - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Arthritis & Osteoporosis Support Group will be running Tai Chi classes at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy this morning. An intermediate class will run from 9:00am to 10:00am, followed by a beginners class from 10:15am to 11:15am. The classes aim to help relieve pain and improve quality of life, relieve stress, sharpen concentration, and improve balance, posture and mobility. Noosaville's Outbike Australia will be running a South Burnett Rail Trail Day Trip for cyclists today. The day trip will pick up participants at Noosa, Noosaville and Gympie and will offer three options: an easy ride from Kingaroy to Murgon (45km sealed); a hard ride from Murgon to Kilkivan (45km unsealed); and an extreme 90km ride from Kingaroy to Kilkivan. Art Exhibition Opening - Kingaroy
Kingaroy State High School's annual graduating students art exhibition will be officially opened at the Kingaroy Art Gallery in Haly Street, Kingaroy at 6:00pm this evening. The exhibition includes more than 200 paintings, drawings, sketches and works in mixed media created by about 150 Year 7 to 12 students. The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Dusty Day Out - Moffatdale
SOLD OUT- The 6th annual Dusty Day Out will be held at Dusty Hill Vineyard in Moffatdale from noon to midnight today. This event - which is strictly limited to 400 guests - has been a sell-out the past four years. Bands include Mustered Courage, Barefoot, Pop Standen & Band, Crowded Endz, Bad Habits, The Venture and Bob Mouat. CANCELLED The Yarraman Progress Association's Yarraman Markets will be held on the vacant block at the corner of the D'Aguilar and New England Highways in Yarraman from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon today (ie opposite Bendigo Bank). Maclagan Squeezebox Festival
The 16th annual Maclagan Squeezebox Festival will be held at Maclagan Memorial Hall on the Dalby-Cooyar Road in the heart of Maclagan village today. Activities will kick off at 9:00am with a walk-up concert, which will be followed by the main concert that will run from 1:00pm until around 5:30pm. There'll be morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on offer during the day, and the main concert will be followed by a dinner at 6:00pm, and then a great Old Time dance from 7:00pm until late, with music by Mystique. A canteen will be running all day and a licensed bar will begin operating in the afternoon. South Burnett Relay For Life - Kingaroy
The South Burnett's annual Relay For Life fundraiser will be held in the sports auditorium at Kingaroy State High School from noon until 10:00pm tonight. The new venue and shortened length are due to the recent wet weather. The South Burnett Relay For Life has raised more than $1 million for cancer research in the last decade. The first day of the four-day Waterhole Rocks rock'n'roll campout weekend will roar into life at the Nanango Showgrounds this afternoon and continue on until late tonight. The festival is devoted to all things associated with 1950s and 1960s rock 'n' roll. This includes hot rods, custom cars, vintage caravans, driving games and dance lessons, all backed up by rock'n'roll acts. This year's event is marking the 40th anniversary of the death of Aussie rock'n'roll icon Johnny O'Keefe. The Festival will get underway at 9:00am today. At 11:30am, the Stolzenberg Brothers will take to the stage, followed at 2:30pm with rock'n'roll dance lessons from Beris and John. Tonight is Halloween, and a special "Halloween Night will be held at The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) from 7:00pm. Bring the kids down in their most scary outfits! There'll be a sausage sizzle at 7:00pm, a costume parade at 7:30pm and a scary dance competition at 7:45pm. Ice blocks and sweets will be distributed at 8:00pm. This is a family event and children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
