Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Art Exhibition Opening - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery in Haly Street, Kingaroy (opposite the peanut silos) will be opening its March exhibition at 9:00am this morning. This month's exhibition will feature a range of works from the late David Bryce - one of Kingaroy's best-known artists - along with a number of recent acquisitions for the South Burnett Regional Council Art collection by other artists. The exhibition is being run as a curtain-raiser for the $5,000 David Bryce Rural Art Award in April and May, and will remain on display from 10:00am to 4:00pm weekdays, and 9:00am to 1:00pm on weekends, until March 29. Admission to view the exhibition is free.

Linville Markets
The monthly Linville Markets will be held at Linville Hall in George Street from 7:00am to around noon today. The markets offer a variety of stalls, along with a breakfast BBQ. The Twilight Branch is a special branch of the QCWA designed for working women and busy mums. The first day of the weekend-long Frank Fisher Cup rugby league carnival will be held at Jack O'Chin Oval in Broadway Street, Cherbourg today. The Queensland Rugby League has joined with the South Burnett Rugby League to host this inaugural QRL Central Region event in honour of one of the South Burnett's greatest players, and Indigenous teams from across the Central region will be taking part. Today's action will get underway at 1:30pm when an U16s Murgon-Cherbourg side play Kingaroy. This will be followed by the official opening at 2:45pm, and then a match between South West Emus and Sunshine Coast Bunyas at 3:30pm, followed by Wide Bay Stingrays playing against CQ Barramundis at 5:00pm. After this, the day will be rounded off at 7:00pm with a BBQ dinner and live music from Muddy Flats playing late into the night. Everyone is welcome and a canteen will be running on site. Proston Show
The main day of the 62nd annual Proston Show will be held at Proston Showgrounds on the Proston-Boondooma Road just west of town today, with horse events at 8:00am; stud cattle judging and a Championship Dog Show at 8:30am; prime cattle, poultry and ute show judging at 9:00am; and then woodchops, chainsaw racing and post-ripping at 9:30am. At 1:00pm, competitors will line up for the Proston Stockman’s Classic, before the official opening at 2:00pm and the Grand Parade at 2:30pm. In the afternoon, there'll be a whip-cracking competition at 3:30pm, followed by live music from 5:00pm and a giant fireworks display at 7:00pm. Other attractions to look out for are Viv’s Farm Animals and Mandy’s face painting, along with dodgem cars and other amusement rides. The pavilion displays, Show canteen and bar will be running all day, too. Show admission prices remain at $10 for adults, $5 for high school students and $3 for primary school students (under fives are free), and a family pass for two adults and two or more children is also available for $25.

The Queensland Rugby League has joined with the South Burnett Rugby League to host this inaugural QRL Central Region event in honour of one of the South Burnett's greatest players, and Indigenous teams from across the Central region will be taking part. Today's action will get underway at 9:00am with a Plate Final (3rd v 4th), follwed by a Cup Final (1st v 2nd) at 10:30am, and then presentations and a closing ceremony around noon. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The Beez - Nanango

The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). The meeting will feature Street Stocks, Late Models, Lightning Sprints, Junior Sedans, National 4's and a Uniform Zone class. There'll also be canteen facilities operating onsite and camping is available, too, if you want to stay over. Gates will open at 4:00pm, racing will start at 5:00pm and the excitement will continue until around 10:30pm tonight. Admission is $25 for adults, $15 for students (with ID) and aged or disability pensioners or $65 for a family of two adults and up to three students (children 12 and under are free). 97th Annual Murgon Show
The gates will open at the Murgon Showgrounds in Macalister Street, Murgon at 7:00am this morning for the main day of the 97th Annual Murgon Show. This year's Show will feature a very big range of cattle and horse events and things will move into full gear early on with judging for dairy and stud beef cattle, followed by poultry judging. There'll also be horse events for and Tractor Pulls in the main arena; a bumper Sideshow Alley; pavilion and trade exhibits (open from 9:00am); and all the fun of a great Aussie fair. This year's Murgon Show will be officially opened at around 1:15pm in front of the grandstand, followed by the Grand Parade at 2:00pm. There'll also be a spectacular fireworks display mid-way through the evening at around 7:00pm. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). The South Burnett Saints AFL club will be celebrating their 2020 season launch with a barbecue at the Kingaroy Cricket Club in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (just next to Beangrowers) at 2:00pm this afternoon. Yarraman Emergency Services Day
A Yarraman Emergency Services Day will be held at the Errol Munt Sports Centre in Margaret Street, Yarraman from 9:30am to around 2:00pm today. The event has been organised by the South Western Region SES so that locals can get to know their Emergency Services crews and learn how respond to emergencies and disasters themselves. Visitors will also be able to look over the equipment SES volunteers and other emergency services (like the Ambulance Service, Police, Fire & Rescue, and the Rural Fire Service) use to respond to incidents in the community. They can also find out how to join, if they want. Everyone is welcome and there's no admission fee.

Ringsfield Film Society - Nanango
The Ringsfield Film Society will be holding their monthly screening of a classic movie from the National Film and Sound Archives at the old church in the grounds of Ringsfield House at 41-45 Alfred Street, Nanango this afternoon, kicking off with a great afternoon tea from Ringsfield House at 3:00pm and followed by the movie at 3:20pm.
