Les Poules Colin - Nanango
Canadian folk group Les Poules Colin will be performing at The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) at 7:00pm this evening. Tickets are $20 per head and are strictly limited to 65. They will be available at the door or by phoning Jane on 0400-631-677.
Murgon CBD Markets
The monthly Murgon Markets will be held in Lamb Street in the heart of Murgon from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon today. The markets offer locally-made crafts, foods and produce and are always an interesting Sunday morning out. New stall-holders are always welcome too! More details? Open Mic Afternoon At The Palace - Nanango
The Palace Hotel at 77 Drayton Street in Nanango will be holding an Open Mic Jam Session from 2:00pm to around 6:30pm this afternoon, hosted by Mr Q. Anyone is welcome to put their name up on the blackboard and - when their turn comes - perform up to 25 minutes of originals or covers. All PAs, guitars and drums will be provided by Mr Q and there'll be food on hand if you get peckish. Everyone is welcome along for a great afternoon of live music and family fun! More details? Kilkivan Railway Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. RSPCA $50 Pet Weekend
The South Burnett RSPCA in Warren Truss Drive at Kingaroy Airport will be holding a $50 pet weekend from 10:00am to 5:00pm today. RSPCA shelters around Queensland are currently running at capacity and they need to find new homes for adult cats and dogs currently in care. All RSPCA pets have been thoroughly health checked and temperament tested before being offered up for adoption. They are all desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, worm and flea treated and are looking for a second chance at a happy and healthy life - and you can see what animals are currently in the Kingaroy pound right now by clicking here. Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Timbertowns Woodworkers Meeting - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Sunday Poker - Kingaroy

Cross Country Running Meet - Nanango
Queensland Running will be holding a South Burnett Cross Country running meet at Tipperary Flat next to the D'Aguilar Highway south of Nanango from 11:00am to around 2:00pm today for runners of all ages and fitness levels. Distances will range from 500m to 8000m, and there'll also be a Fun Walk for parents and anyone else just wanting a little more exercise. Participation is free providing you RSVP by April 7 (there'll be a late fee if you turn up today without registering beforehand), and there'll be a free sausage sizzle afterwards. Two Person Golf Team Challenge - Kingaroy
The second (and final) day of the two-day Wooroolin Business Houses Two Person Team Golf Challenge will be played at the Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway south-west of town from 8:00am this morning. Today's competition will be a Single Stroke, with the points added to yesterday's score to determine the winners.
