Patchwork, Quilting And Crafty Weekend - Wooroolin
The third (and final) day of a three-day Patchwork, Quilting And Crafty Weekend will be held at Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway, Wooroolin from 9:00am to 4:00pm today. Participants should bring along their own craft materials, but the organisers will provide morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for a modest cost of $30. The weekend is a fundraiser for the Wooroolin Community Committee, who need to raise $4000 a year to pay for their building and public liability insurance, and all crafts people are welcome for what promises to be a fun time! Kilkivan Railway Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Martial Arts Tournament - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Karate Association is hosting Round VI of the International Sports Karate Association’s Mat Sports Tournament at Kingaroy High School's sports hall from 8:00am until late today. Martial arts such as Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Kick Boxing and many more will all be represented - some by world ranking exponents - and this year organisers expect over 100 competitors and even more spectators and supporters, many coming from all over Queensland and interstate. Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Maidenwell Markets
If you're heading up to the Bunya Mountains today, go via Maidenwell and you can browse the Maidenwell Markets at the Maidenwell Sportsgrounds (just next to the Rural Fire Brigade HQ in the heart of town) between 8:00am and 12:00 noon this morning. These markets offer a range of arts and crafts, local produce, plants, home baking, bric-a-brac, sauces, jams, chutneys, coffee, food and lots more (there's even a jumping castle for children). Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Rail Trail Marathon Ride - Murgon
The South Burnett Mountain Bike club will be meeting up with cyclists from Maryborough at the Murgon RSL in Lamb Street, Murgon at 9:00am this morning (for a 9:15am start). Both groups will be making an epic ride along the South Burnett Rail Trail from Murgon to Wooroolin and return - probably with a mid-ride stop-off at the famous Wooroolin Cafe - and new riders are very welcome to take part! Sunday Bingo - Wondai

Fungi Workshop - Kingaroy
Scientist Dr Sandra Tuszynska, a passionate biologist specializing in mycology (ie the study of fungi) will be providing a free presentation about fungi and the role they play in natural ecosystems at the Kingaroy Town Common Hall in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. Dr Sandra will explain that while some fungi provide food, immunity and communication networks across entire forests, others feast on pollutants such as pesticides, petrochemicals and plastics. And this amazing renewable resource can also be used to produce anything from furniture to surfboards. Children are welcome to attend today's presentation as well as adults. More details? Sandy Ridges Rural Fire Brigade AGM

Proston Rally
The Proston Car Rally Club will be holding the second (and final) day of their quarterly CAMS Khanacross Multiclub Rally at their track this morning. The club's track is located 7.5km west of Proston on the Proston-Boondooma Road, and racing will commence around 8:00am and conclude with results and awards around 1:30pm. Up to 50 cars attend Proston Rally Club meetings from all over Queensland and NSW and spectators are very welcome. There'll be a BBQ and soft drinks stand running throughout the event, as well as a hearty breakfast supplied by the Proston Lions club. Hot showers, toilets and free camping are available on site too. Admission to the Rally is 100% free for spectators, $50 for adult participants and $25 for juniors. More details? Pink Ribbon Research Charity Day - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt Golf Club at 51 Langton Road in Blackbutt will be holding its Pink Ribbon Research Charity Day today. Games will take the form of a three person ambrose with a shotgun start at 10:00am.There'll be heaps of trophies (everyone will win a prize) as well as 9 pin shots.
