Spring Fair - Nanango
Nanango's Anglican Parish will be holding a Spring Fair for 7:00am to noon in the grounds of the church at 110 Burnett Street, Nanango in conjunction with the monthly Nanango Mini-Market. There'll be arts and craft stalls, cakes and hot food. Kids can decorate cupcakes and there'll be a free jumping castle and fairy floss, too. There'll also be competitions ($1 entry - entries in by 9:30am, judging at 10:00am) for the Best Dressed pushbike, Best Spring Lego design, Best Spring Hat, Best Floral Arrangement and Best Milk Arrowroot Biscuit design. Goomeri Gourmet Event & Twilight Market
The Goomeri Project with help from the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival and Gympie Regional Council are hosting the town's inaugural Food Truck Party this afternoon and evening in the Goomeri Market Square near the former Goomeri Railway Station behind Joe's Grand Hotel. Organisers promise tons of gourmet food options from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. There'll also be 24 art and craft stalls (great for Christmas gift ideas!), along with entertainment and activities for the whole family.
Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Club Race Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club will be holding its fourth and last Club Day for 2018 on the main oval of Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this morning from 10:00am (when racing gets underway). PeeWees, SuperLites, 125cc and 250cc will all be in action. The morning will be followed by the presentation of the Kingaroy McDonalds Championships awards for 2018. Family Fun Day - Cherbourg
A sport and recreation community family fun day is being held from 10:00am to 2:00pm today at the Cherbourg Sports Complex in Collins Road, Cherbourg. Join in your favourite sport or try a new one! There'll be golf, rugby league, baseball, hockey, touch, cricket, tennis and soccer to explore plus traditional Indigenous games. There's also a free barbecue lunch. The day is being organised by Cherbourg Council, the South Burnett PCYC, the South West Indigenous Network and the Cherbourg Sports Club. Everyone is welcome!
Wondai Country Markets
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery's popular monthly Wondai Country Markets will be operating at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD from 7:00am to 12:00 noon today. Today's markets will feature stallholders selling fresh fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, useful knick-knacks and clothing. There'll also be live entertainment; lots and lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and special hand-made treasures from local artisans available from the Gallery's new "Studio" building just a short stroll across the park. The BBQs will also be firing up from 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts for early bargain hunters. Lauryn's Girls Night In - Blackbutt
A special "Girls Night In" organised by Lauryn Pearson will be held at the Bunyanut Cafe in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 3:00pm to 7:30 pm to raise funds for cancer research. This womens-only event will have a "Pizza & Pasta Pampering night in your PJs" theme, and all guests are encouraged to wear pyjamas. There'll also be games, raffles and other participation activities, along with competitions for the best dressed, best slippers and craziest hair.
Halloween Quiz Night - Nanango
St Patrick's P&F Association will be holding a Halloween Quiz Night from 6:00pm this evening at the school in Alfred Street, Nanango. Teams should consist of 6-8 people ($10 per team member) and guests should BYO Halloween gear, nibblies, alcohol and gold coins (for money boards and games). Murgon Men's Shed Garage Sale

David Lynch Jr - Nanango
Popular entertainer David Lynch Jr will be performing at the Palace Hotel in Drayton Street, Nanango from 7:30pm until late tonight. Admission is free - and you can grab a great curry if you want one from the restaurant out front - but donations will also be accepted towards Nanango's Butter Factory Park all inclusive playground. Wondai Parkrun
The Wondai parkrun group will be holding their weekly 5km timed run at Coronation Park in Wondai at 7:00am this morning. Runners follow a course along the South Burnett Rail Trail and the parkrun group is free to join. Men's Saturday Bowls - Yarraman

Bowls Club Bingo - Kingaroy

South Burnett Rail Trail Day Trip
Noosaville's Outbike Australia will be running a South Burnett Rail Trail Day Trip for cyclists today. The day trip will pick up participants at Noosa, Noosaville and Gympie and will offer three options: an easy ride from Kingaroy to Murgon (45km sealed); a hard ride from Murgon to Kilkivan (45km unsealed); and an extreme 90km ride from Kingaroy to Kilkivan. Bus fares are $120 return from Noosa, and bikes can be hired for $20 if you don't have your own. South Burnett locals are also welcome to take part, and there's $40 rider and bike transfers from Kilkivan to Kingaroy available if you need help getting back home. More details? South Burnett Cricket
The South Burnett cricket season will continue today with local teams in action in the B Grade competition - Murgon will play Cherbourg at the Murgon Showgrounds in Macalister Street, Murgon; Kumbia Rattlers will play Nanango's Scorpions at the Kumbia Sports Grounds on the Kumbia-Brooklands Road at Kumbia; and the Wondai Wolves will do battle with the Timbertowners at the Blackbutt cricket grounds (Kingaroy Services have forfeited to Kallindale Warriors). All games will start at 12:30pm. Meanwhile, in A Grade, local teams will be travelling to Gympie today. The Southern District Devils will play Western Gympie at Spencer Oval in the second round of this year's competition, while the Murgon District will face off against the Gympie Colts at Kozminsky Oval. Spectators are very welcome.
