Meet The Constructor - Kingaroy
- AGL, GE and CATCON will be holding a public meeting about the Coopers Gap Wind Farm at the Luncheon Hall inside Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 5:30pm until 7:00pm this evening. GE and CATCON are the principal contractors engaged by AGL to build the wind farm, and all three companies will be outlining what types of materials, goods and services they'll need to buy to bring this project online in the coming two years. The meeting is open to all South Burnett businesses who'd like to get involved in the wind farm's construction and if you can't make tonight's get-together, a second meeting will be held at 5:30pm tomorrow at Dalby's Australian Hotel-Motel.
Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Goomeri SES Meeting
- The Goomeri SES will be holding their regular Wednesday night training session at the SES Building in Dickinson Park, Goomeri from 6:30pm to around 8:30pm tonight. Wednesday Morning Bridge - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Bridge Club will be holding their regular Wednesday morning bridge games at the pavilion nearest to town inside the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street from 9:00am to 1:00pm today. Nanango Country Quilters & Crafts Group
- The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet every Wednesday at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $3 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well. Myotherapist Les and exercise physiologist Dimas will be discussing the various causes of neck and back pain, as well as what you can do to relieve it and/or prevent it.
