Anzac Day
Today is Anzac Day, a national public holiday when the nation pauses to remember the sacrifices of tens of thousands of Australians who have fought for the democratic principles our country is committed to in conflicts all over the world. Most South Burnett businesses will either be closed completely today or operating on restricted hours (ie from noon onwards) as a mark of respect. Anzac Day commemorative services will be held throughout the region from 4:27am onwards: the same time the original Anzacs began their assault on the beaches of Gallipoli 103 years ago. Here's where they'll be held:

The first day of the five-day Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster will be held at Boondooma Homestead at 8262 Durong-Mundubbera Road, Boondooma today.
