Lady Bjelke-Petersen Community Hospital Open Day - Kingaroy

The Lady Bjelke-Petersen Community Hospital at 31 Markwell Street in Kingaroy will be holding an Open Day from 11:30am to 2:00pm this afternoon. This free community event will offer guided tours of the hospital; free health advice, information and demonstrations; the opportunity to have a hamburger or a scone and a cuppa while meeting the people who work in the hospital; and information about careers or volunteering, plus more. Blackbutt Country Markets

The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held next to the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around mid-day today. Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt

The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their final bi-monthly Sunday social for 2017 at the Blackbutt Golf Club in Langton Road, Blackbutt from 10:00am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists. There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a lucky door prize, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments, a licensed bar and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing. Admission is still only $5 with bottomless tea or coffee and and free afternoon tea as well. Lunch will also be available for a small charge. Everyone is welcome!

A Poetry Breakfast will be held at the Whipbird Cafe off the D'Aguilar Highway at Coolabunia from 7:00am to 9:00am this morning. Tickets - at $7 per head - will secure your first coffee of the day and a seat in the courtyard, and Whipbird will have freshly-cooked breakfasts available to order if you're hungry. Sunday Bingo - Wondai

The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon.
