Barnaby Joyce - Murgon

The Federal Government’s “Special Envoy For Drought Assistance and Recovery”, former National Party leader and Deputy PM Barnaby Joyce, will be visiting Murgon today along with Member for Wide Bay Llew O'Brien to discuss the impact of the drought on business and the local community. Mr Joyce will be holding a public meeting at Murgon Town Hall in Gore Street, Murgon from 2:30pm to around 4:30pm. Everyone with a view on the drought's impacts on the South Burnett (and the Federal Government's responses to it) is very welcome to come along and express their ideas, and the forum is free - but people intending to go have been asked to RSVP to BIEDO on 0400-695-456 to help plan the afternoon tea catering.

Let's Yarn About Disability - Cherbourg

Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council's "Let's Yarn" yarning circle will be discussing disabilities at the Indigenous Knowledge Centre in Cherbourg at 11:00am today. The event is for people who have disabilities; family and friends who care for those with disabilities; and anyone else interested in discussing the topic. Morning tea will be provided and everyone is welcome.

Tuesday Night Indoor Bowls - Wondai

The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club will be holding its regular Tuesday meeting at the Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:30pm this evening. Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
