South Burnett Rugby League Presentation Dinner
South Burnett Rugby League will be holding its annual Presentation Dinner for the South Burnett Eagles at 6:00pm this evening at the Kingaroy State High School Assembly Hall in Markwell Street, Kingaroy. All South Burnett U16 and U18 boys together with all South Burnett female players from U12s to Women's grades are invited to attend the Trophy presentations for the 2019 season. The event will begin with a BBQ dinner and an RSVP to Sheree to help plan the catering would be greatly appreciated: 0408-682-225.
Over 50s Bingo - Proston
Bingo games will be held at the Community Hall in Rodney Street, Proston from 9:00am this morning, with eyes down at 9:30am. There's a $100 jackpot on offer, and morning tea is available for just $2. Kingaroy RSL Bingo

Friday Croquet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Croquet Club will be playing croquet games at the rear of the Kingaroy Cricket Club in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (just next to Beangrowers) from 9:00am to around 11:30am this morning. Nanango Blue Light Roller Skating
The Nanango Blue Light Disco committee will be holding their regular U18s Blue Light roller skating night at the Nanango Skating Rink in George Street, Nanango from 6:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. There'll be lots of fun plus games and prizes, and a canteen will be operating too. Admission is $5, which includes skate hire, and the event is fully supervised. Friday Afternoon Scroungers - Nanango

Oktoberfest - Yarraman
The Royal Hotel on the D'Aguilar Highway in Yarraman will be celebrating Oktoberfest from 7:00pm until late tonight with lots of beer, food and a DJ keeping the mood happy and upbeat until late. A free courtesy bus will also be available for locals, but you'll need to book a seat: (07) 4163-8219
Friday Social Golf - Proston

Friday Night At The Shed - Nanango
The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting (or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer). Kingaroy Cuppa & Chat Group
The Cuppa and Chat Group will be holding its weekly meeting at The Biscuit Tin behind St Mary's Church at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 10:00am to around 11:00am today. As the name suggests, members enjoy a cuppa and biscuits baked in the community kitchen, and simply chat about whatever interests them. More details? Waterhole Rocks - Nanango
The second day of the four-day Waterhole Rocks rock'n'roll campout weekend will roar into life at the Nanango Showgrounds this morning and continue on until late tonight. The festival is devoted to all things associated with 1950s and 1960s rock 'n' roll. This includes hot rods, custom cars, vintage caravans, driving games and dance lessons, all backed up by rock'n'roll acts. The Festival will get underway at 9:00am today with an hour of dance lessons, followed by the Old 45s from 10:00am to 2:00pm, then Arthur Nettelfield until 6:00pm when the Official Opening will take place. After this, Kenny And The Retro Rockers will play until 11:00pm. A bar and canteen will be operating in the grounds and entry to the festival is $20 today (or you can buy a weekend pass for $40). Powered and unpowered campsites are also available at the Showgrounds for a nominal amount per night if you want to bunk down in the grounds. South Burnett Mountain Bike Club AGM - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Mountain Bike Club will be holding its Annual General Meeting at the Carrollee Hotel in King Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 7:00pm this evening. All interested people are welcome to attend.
Majellan Morning Tea - Nanango
The monthly Majellan Morning Tea will be held in the meeting room behind the OLHC church at 37 Gipps Street, Nanango at 10:00am this morning. Everyone is welcome to come along for a cuppa and a chat.
Wesleyan Food Hampers - Nanango
Wesleyan Grace Community Food Hampers will be available at 36 Fitzroy Street, Nanango from 9:00am to 12:00 noon today. Food hampers are available for a modest price to people facing financial difficulties.
Alex The Frenchman and DJdirex - Kingaroy
The Commercial Hotel at the corner of Haly and Glendon Streets in Kingaroy will be hosting Alex The Frenchman from 7:30pm tonight in an acoustic session, followed by DJDirex who'll be spinning the platters from 9:00pm until late. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
