8th Annual Ladies Luncheon - Murgon
Murgon's C&K Kindy will be holding their 8th annual Ladies Luncheon and a multi-draw raffle with over 100 prizes at the Murgon Golf Club from 11:00am onwards today. The event is the major annual fundraiser for the Kindy and all ladies are welcome. Guests will get to enjoy a three course lunch, live music, raffles and the chance to win a lucky door prize. Tickets are $50, and you can obtain them and/or get more info by phoning (07) 4168-1020.
Nanango Home Produce Share
The monthly Nanango Home Produce Share will be held in the grounds of Ringsfield House at 45 Alfred Street, Nanango from 9:00am to about 10:30am this morning. The share is for people who have excess home produce they would like to swap or gift to others (non-food items can also be swapped) and it has been organised by the South Burnett Permaculture group. The Best Of Brass In Concert - Wondai
The combined talents of the Gold Coast City Brass Band and the Wondai Town and District Band will be performing in concert at the Wondai Diggers Club in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 1:00pm this afternoon (the concert starts at 1:30pm). Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for concessions - children are free.
Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Kingaroy Lions Trail Ride - Benair
The second (and final) day of the weekend-long Kingaroy Lions Trail Ride will be held at Half Mile Creek Road, off Minmore Road south-west of Kingaroy (look for the signs) from 8:30am this morning through until late this afternoon. This annual 2-day event is a fundraiser for the Kingaroy Lions and last year attracted more than 600 riders. It's a non-competitive trail ride open to all classes of dirt bikes (no quads), and has been moved to a new location this year to keep it interesting for regulars. The Ride features Pee Wee, Novice and Open tracks and it's always a lot of fun. Free camping with hot showers and toilets are available from Friday night onwards, as well as on-site food catering from Friday night through to 1:30pm today. There's also a great raffle. Blackbutt Country Markets
The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held next to the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around mid-day today. Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Tennis Tournament - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy & District Tennis Association will be holding the second (and final) day of a weekend-long Tennis Tournament at the club's courts in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy today. The tournament will be offering singles, doubles and mixed doubles events for senior and junior players, and nominations closed on June 9. Spectators are very welcome and a light canteen will be running.
Sunday Sesh - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Hotel at the corner of Haly and Youngman Streets, Kingaroy will be holding a Sunday Sesh from 1:00pm until late today. The get together features live NRL action on a HD screen from 2:00pm; a heated beer garden with pool and free tunes; a free family BBQ sometime between 4:00pm and 7:00pm; and a cozy fireplace. Everyone is welcome!
Come & Try Golf Day - Blackbutt

St Peters College Chamber Soloists and Chorale Concert - Kingaroy
St Peters Lutheran College Chamber Soloists and Chorale will be performing in concert at St Mary's Catholic Church at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy at 6:30pm this evening. The concert is part of a country tour by the Indooroopilly-based school, and will be preceded by a church service at 5:30pm. Everyone is welcome!
Kilkivan Railway Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Australian Championship X-Factor - BP Dam
The final day of the second round of the Australian Championship X-Factor team fishing competition will be held at Bjelke-Petersen Dam near Murgon today.
