St John's Lutheran School Open Day - Kingaroy
- POSTPONED: St John's Lutheran School at 84-94 Ivy Street, Kingaroy will be holding an Open Day from 9:00am to around 10:30am this morning. The school offers tuition from Prep to Year 9, and today's Open Day will give parents the opportunity to meet the school's staff, inspect the classrooms and find out more about what the school offers in terms of facilities and extra-curricular activities, as well as enjoy a great morning tea. Community Consultation Meeting - Kingaroy
- POSTPONED: A community consultation meeting to discuss the current Water Study being undertaken in the South and North Burnett will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 10:00am to noon today, followed by one-on-one consultations from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. The meeting would be of interest to all current and future agricultural water users, and you can read more about the purpose of this meeting on our website. Note: This meeting was postponed on Sunday, March 15 due to COVID-19 concerns.
Pollies In The Pub - Nanango
- CANCELLED: Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce & Industry president Damien Martoo will be presenting "Pollies In The Pub" at the Palace Hotel and Kitchen in Drayton Street, Nanango at 6:30pm this evening. The event will introduce all four Mayoral candidates in the up-coming March 28 Council elections (Keith Campbell, Abigail Andersson, Brett Otto and Toni Ralph) and give the public the chance to ask them questions. Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
- The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Wednesday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Wednesday Morning Bingo - Murgon

- The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet every Wednesday at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $3 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well. - The Kingaroy QCWA Twilight Branch will be holding their third Wednesday of the month meeting at the QCWA Rooms next to Kingaroy RSL in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to around 8:00pm tonight. The Twilight Branch is a special branch of the QCWA designed for working women and busy mums. It meets in the evenings and is separate from the traditional Kingaroy branch (which meets during the day). Kingaroy Carers Group
- The Kingaroy Carers Group will be holding their regular third Wednesday of the month meeting at the Kingaroy RSL's Function Room in Markwell Street, Kingaroy from 10:30am to 12:30pm this morning. The group is open to anyone who acts as a carer. It's designed to provide a social and networking outlet for carers, who often find themselves isolated by their role. Overeaters Anonymous
- Overeaters Anonymous will be holding its weekly meeting at the Parish Meeting Place at 16 Alfred Street, Nanango from 7:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. OA is is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating. Ther group welcomes everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively, and there are no dues or fees for members. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine and takes no position on outside issues. Its primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Proston
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
