Wondai Army Cadets Open Day
- The 135 Army Cadet Unit will be holding an Open Day at their depot in Bramston Street, Wondai between 10:00am and Noon today. The day is for young people aged between 13 and 17 who are interested in joining the Army Cadets and/or who would like to find out more about all the fun things the Cadets do, and their parents are very welcome to come along as well. Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
- The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Lions Family Fun Day - Murgon
- The Murgon Lions Club well be holding a Family Fun Day at Lions Park just south of Murgon's CBD on the Bunya Highway from 9:00am to 2:00pm today to celebrate the grand opening of the Murgon Lions Food Van and the new sealed car park. There'll be food available, a free jumping castle and face painting for children, and Member for Wide Bay Llew O'Brien and Deputy Mayor Kathy Duff will on hand to help unveil a special plaque to mark a century of Lionism. Everyone is welcome and there's no admission fee.
Sunday Poker - Kingaroy

Open Mic Afternoon At The Fitzroy - Nanango
- The Fitzroy Hotel in Fitzroy Street, Nanango will be holding an Open Mic Jam Session from 2:00pm to around 6:30pm this afternoon, hosted by Mr Q. Anyone is welcome to put their name up on the blackboard and - when their turn comes - perform up to 25 minutes of originals or covers. All PAs, guitars and drums will be provided by Mr Q. - The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Nanango Hack & Pony Club Gymkhana
- The Nanango Hack & Pony Club will be holding their 2018 Gymkhana at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street, Naanngo from 9:00am this morning (riders should have all nominations in and paid paid and with horse health declaration forms before 8:30am). Nomination fees are $20 and there'll be ribbons for 1st-6th places; trophies for 1st-4th in each age group except Assisted; and rugs for the 1st place in each age group. Spectators are welcome!
Kumbia Museum
- The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon.
