Candidates Forum - Blackbutt
CANCELLED: The Blackbutt District Community Organisation will be hosting a public Candidates Forum at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Bowman Road, Blackbutt at 6:30pm this evening (doors open at 6:00pm). All four Mayoral candidates (Keith Campbell, Abigail Andersson, Brett Otto and Toni Ralph) will be asked to give a short 10 minute presentation on why they should be elected, then answer questions from the floor. The evening will be moderated by two BDCO members and the forum will provide the public with the chance to become better acquainted with the candidates. Everyone is welcome and admission is free. Note: This event was cancelled on March 16 due to COVID-19 concerns.
Understanding Cashflow - Kingaroy And Murgon
POSTPONED: BIEDO will be running two workshops to help farm-based and town-based businesses understand how to manage their cash flow in Kingaroy and Murgon today. The Kingaroy workshop (for farm-based businesses) will be held at DAF Kingaroy's Taabinga Room from 9:00am to 2:30pm, while the Murgon workshop (for town-based businesses) will be held at Graham House in Taylor Street East from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The cost of either workshop is $22 - which includes catering and take-home templates - and participants are welcome to bring a laptop. Community Consultation Meeting - Blackbutt
POSTPONED: A community consultation meeting to discuss the current Water Study being undertaken in the South and North Burnett will be held at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 10:00am to noon today, followed by one-on-one consultations from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. The meeting would be of interest to all current and future agricultural water users, and it will be followed by one more community consultation meeting in Kingaroy tomorrow. You can read more about the purpose of these meetings on our website. Note: This meeting was postponed on Sunday, March 15 due to COVID-19 concerns.
Blackbutt Singers - Yarraman
IN RECESS: The Blackbutt Singers will holding their regular Tuesday morning practice session at the Yarraman Community Hall in Browne Street, Yarraman from 9:30am to around noon this morning. NaTDA Meeting - Nanango
CANCELLED: The Nanango Tourism & Development Association will be holding its monthly dinner meeting in the Long Hai Room at the Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 5:30pm tonight. NaTDA aims to assist, foster, instigate and/or manage any project that could contribute to the advancement of the communities in and around Nanango, and represents the interests of the Nanango community, business and tourism operators. All interested people are very welcome to come along and get involved! Afterwards, the meeting will be followed by an informal, optional social dinner at the RSL's bistro. The Biggest Little Farm - Kingaroy
POSTPONED: The Satellite Cinema in Short Street, Kingaroy will be holding a special screening of the film "The Biggest Little Farm" at 6:30pm (for a 7:00pm start) tonight. The film records documentarian John Chester and his wife Molly's work to develop a sustainable farm on 200 acres of land outside Los Angeles using environmentally sound principles, and it has won a slew of awards from more than a dozen international film festivals along with favourable reviews from Rotten Tomatoes and MetaCritic. Tickets to this one-time screening are $15 and seats are limited, so a booking is highly advisable. You can make one by phoning the cinema during office hours on (07) 4162-2336. Note: This event was postponed on March 14 due to COVID-19 concerns.
South Burnett Chorale
CANCELLED: The South Burnett Chorale will be holding their regular Tuesday practice night at the Church of Christ Hall at the corner of Haly and Burnett Streets in Kingaroy from 7:00pm to 9:00pm this evening. The Chorale meet every Tuesday night during school terms, and new members are always very welcome! More details? Phone Margie on 0424-924-632. St Patrick's Day Morning Tea - Murgon

Kumbia QCWA Meeting
The QCWA Kumbia Branch in Bell Street will be opening its doors at 9:00am this morning for a cuppa, followed by its monthly branch meeting at 9:30am. After this formality has been attended to, though, members focus on friendship and fun through sharing their skills in traditional and contemporary art and handcraft activities for the remainder of the morning and into the afternoon. Indoor Bowls - Wondai
The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club will be holding its regular Tuesday meeting at the Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:30pm this evening. Proston Over 50s Club
The Proston Over 50s Club will be holding their regular third Tuesday of the month meeting and social at the Proston Town Hall in Rodney Street from 10:00am onwards today. The $2 admission fee includes morning tea and there'll be a communal lunch at around noon (bring along a plate to share). Members take part in various games, lucky door prizes and progressive raffles, and membership is just $5 per year, with bus trips are organised throughout the year. New members are always welcome!

Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango will be running Tuesday Night Bingo Games from 5:30pm tonight (eyes down at 6:30pm). Proston Men's Shed

Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. AA meets in Nanango every Tuesday from 5:30pm at the Catholic Church Hall in Alfred Street (next to St Patrick's school). For more information, phone 0427-289-990.
