Beauty And The Beast - Kingaroy

South Burnett Musical Comedy Society's massive production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast premieres at 7:00pm tonight at the Kingaroy Performing Arts Centre at Kingaroy State High School. There’s five more shows in Kingaroy: October 13 (7:00pm), October 14 (2:00pm), October 19 (7:00pm), October 20 (7:00pm) and October 21 (2:00pm). NDIS Community Forum - Kingaroy

Are you feeling confused about the National Disability Insurance Scheme, ie. the NDIS? The National Disability Insurance Agency - an independent statutory agency - in conjunction with Member for Maranoa David Littleproud has organised a free information session about the NDIS in Kingaroy today to provide answers. Art Exhibition Opening - Kingaroy

Kingaroy State High School's annual graduating students art exhibition will be officially opened at the Kingaroy Art Gallery in Haly Street, Kingaroy at 6:00pm this evening. The exhibition includes more than 200 paintings, drawings, sketches and works in mixed media created by about 150 Year 7 to 12 students. Year 7 and 8 work focuses on exploring the Elements of Art (eg. clay birds, heads, sgraffitos, charcoal sketches). Year 9 will have lino printing and variety of drawings. Year 10 have created ceramic urns. Year 11s have explored various media options, both 2D and 3D. Senior students have looked at Identity and also made social commentaries on issues of their choice. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Advanced Tai Chi - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Arthritis & Osteoporosis Support Group will be running an advanced Tai Chi class at SBcare at the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets in Kingaroy from 9:00am to 10:00am this morning. The classes aim to help relieve pain and improve quality of life, relieve stress, sharpen concentration, and improve balance, posture and mobility. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
