Yarraman New Year's Day Festival
Yarraman will be ringing in the New Year with a four-hour News Years Day Festival in the Errol Munt Recreation Grounds off the New England Highway just west of the CBD from 5:00pm until 9:00pm this afternoon and evening. The Festival will feature lots of great family fun including live musical entertainment; market stalls; a licensed bar; hot food and beverages; and a range of inexpensive amusement rides for children including jumping castles; a slide; Zorb balls in a pond; and dodgem cars (just $2 per ride or $15 for an unlimited ride armband). There'll also be a big fireworks display after dark. The Festival is run by the Yarraman Progress Association and is co-sponsored by Toowoomba Regional Council. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
New Year's Day Recovery Party - Maidenwell
The Maidenwell Hotel will be holding a New Year's Day Recovery Party today, with entertainment supplied by the South Burnett's most popular indigenous band Muddy Flats from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm, along with a seafood lunch.
