Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai will be opening their latest monthly exhibition for 2010 with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:00pm this evening. Tonight's exhibition will feature works by Thelma Archibald in the main gallery; Judith Goodman in the front gallery; Karol Oakley in the third gallery; and Windera State School in Kidz Korner. As usual, tonight's opening will also feature great finger foods, wine tastings from a South Burnett winery and live entertainment too. Admission is just $5 and everyone is most welcome to attend! Endeavour Foundation Bingo - Kingaroy
- The Endeavour Foundation will be holding bingo games at Kingaroy RSL from 10:00am this morning. More than $1,000 in jackpots will be on offer. More details from the RSL on (07) 4162-1755
Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome including non-members and it green fees are $10 for members or $13 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). Damon Hartnett - Tingoora
- Local musician Damon Hartnet will be performing at the Tingoora Hotel on the Bunya Highway at Tingoora from 7:00pm until late this evening. Admission is free. More details from the Tinny on (07) 4168-5150.
Blue Light Skating - Nanango
- The Nanango Blue Light Skating Rink in George Street, Nanango will be opening from 6:30pm to 9:00pm this evening for an all-out fun skating session. Admission is $4.00 (which includes skates/blades - but please wear socks!). As always there'll be great music, games and prizes too - but a condition of entry is that there are no pass outs and the Nanango Blue Light is alcohol, drug and smoke free. Friday Night Dinner & Social Darts - Nanango
- The Nanango and District Darts Association will be holding their regular Friday night social darts games at their club house at the end of George Street, Nanango from 7:15pm onwards this evening. They'll also be offering inexpensive home-cooked dinners from 6:30pm if you want to chow down beforehand. The club's licenced bar will be operating too, and both visitors and potential new members are guaranteed a fun night out with a great group of people. More details?
