Public Meeting On Kingaroy Coal Mine - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Concerned Citizens Group will be holding a public information meeting to discuss Moreton Resources' plans to create an open cut coal mine just south of Kingaroy airport at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy at 7:00pm this evening. Representatives from Moreton Resources and Stanwell Corporation have been invited to attend along with Member For Nanango Deb Frecklington, and the general public are invited too.
Kingaroy Men's Basketball Sign On
Kingaroy Basketball will be holding a sign-on for season 1 of this year's competition at the Kingaroy High School sports auditorium tonight. A and B Grade male players can sign on between 6:00pm and 8:00pm for training and competition, which will start next Tuesday, February 16. Junior basketballers (aged 5 to 16 years, of either sex) should register their interest by phoning 0429-914-586 or by registering online. A muster for Women's Basketball will be held at the same venue and time tomorrow.
Tuesday Night League Training - Kingaroy
- Training for Kingaroy Red Ants U16, U18 and A Grade players will be held at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this evening. U16s and U18s start training at 5:30pm, and A grade players at 6:00pm.
Brazilian Body Tone Workshop - Murgon
The South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding a Brazilian Body Tone Class from 4:30pm to 5:30pm this afternoon in their upstairs fitness studio. The class is based on the principles behind the well-known "Brazilian Butt Lift" and while the focus is on your lower body, it will help sculpt and tone your entire body in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. The Nanango Scout Club - which meets every Tuesday night during school terms - will be holding its regular weekly meeting at the Scout Den at 40 Henry Street, Nanango (just next to the police station) from 5:30pm to around 7:00pm tonight. The group currently has three sections in operation: Joeys (for children aged 6 to 8 years); Cubs (8-11 years); and Scouts (11-15 years). Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough.
