South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Kingaroy Christmas Carnival
The annual SupaIGA Kingaroy Christmas Carnival will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm this evening in Haly and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy. This year's Carnival will feature $2 amusement rides (except for the dodgem cars), live music and entertainment in O’Neill Square from around 5:00pm, loads of food and craft stalls, meat raffles throughout the night, Wags the Dog, Percy the Peanut and many more plus a free animal nursery to delight young and old, a photo booth and a giant wheelbarrow raffle drawn at 8:30pm to assist the Kingaroy SES. Santa will also be arriving at the Old Post Office at around 6:30pm to sit in his Santa Chair and pose for gold coin donation photos with the children. There'll also be a chance to win a live Christmas Tree. Everyone is welcome to this popular, family-friendly get-together. More info? Murgon Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Group
The Murgon Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Group will be holding a meeting at the Wondai Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai from 9:00am to 2:00pm today. The group is open to anyone interested in learning spinning, weaving or dyeing and it meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. More details? Taras Hall Bingo - Nanango

Old Time Dancing Classes - Murgon
Old Time Dancing will be held at the South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon at 1:00pm to 3:00pm this afternoon. The class caters to all levels from beginners to advanced, all in a fun and social atmosphere lead by a qualified dance instructor. St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Kingaroy Community Kitchen
The Kingaroy Community Kitchen will be holding its regular Thursday morning meeting at St Mary's Hall at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 9:30am to around 1:00pm today. Community Kitchen members learn how to cook a variety of budget conscious home-cooked meals, then sit down together for a communal lunch afterwards to enjoy the results for the cost of a gold coin donation. Seeds Of Hope Markets - Kingaroy
Boots & Bulldust will be running the weekly Seeds Of Hope Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced in the South Burnett and surrounding areas, along with great hand-crafted pizzas, and are held at the rear of the Broadway Hotel in Glendon Street, Kingaroy (opposite Shoppingworld) between 9:00am and 5:30pm. Kumbia Progress Association Meeting
The Kumbia Progress Association will be holding its 2nd Thursday of the month meeting at the QCWA Rooms in Bell Street at 7:30pm tonight, preceded by an optional dinner at the Kumbia Hotel at 6:00pm. SB Gender Alliance Meeting - Kingaroy
The SB Gender Alliance will be holding their monthly meeting for members of the LGBTI community and their friends at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre at 6 Cornish Street, Kingaroy at 6:00pm this evening. New members are very welcome. Note: Tonight's meeting is also the group's Christmas break-up.
MBDA Breakfast Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Business and Development Association will be holding their final monthly meeting for 2016 at the Royal Hotel at the corner of Gore and Lamb Streets at 6:30am this morning (entry is via Gore Street). Breakfast is $15 per head plus $4 for coffee, and an RSVP to Margaret on (07) 4168-2922 by 3:00pm on Wednesday, December 7 would be greatly appreciated for catering purposes. This morning's meeting will feature a representative from Murgon police as guest speaker, as well as introduce new MBDA members. All interested people are very welcome to attend.
Wesleyan Food Hampers - Nanango
Wesleyan Grace Community Food Hampers will be available at 36 Fitzroy Street, Nanango from 9:00am to 12:00 noon today. Food hampers will be available for $20.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
