South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Pink Up Trivia Night - Goomeri
As part of Pink Up South Burnett - which runs to November 11 - a Pink Up Trivia Night will be held at the Hall Of Memory in Boonara Street, Goomeri from 6:00pm (for a 6:30pm start) this evening. Entry is $10 per person and play will take place in tables of eight for cash prizes. There'll also be a lucky door prize and light refreshments will be available for purchase (for heavier BYO refreshments, drop into Joe's Grand Hotel beforehand). All proceeds of the night will be donated to the McGrath Foundation to support their breast care nursing program, and everyone is welcome! Kingaroy Blue Light Disco
A Blue Light Disco will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening - this time with a Super Heroes theme. Entry to the disco is restricted to young people aged from prep to 14 years (high school students need to produce their student ID). Admission is $5 and - as usual - attendees are asked to remember that Blue Light Discos are drug, alcohol, chewing gum and tobacco free and no passouts or early exit will be given without parental permission and/or collection. Majellan Morning Tea - Nanango
The monthly Majellan Morning Tea will be held in the meeting room behind the OLHC church at 37 Gipps Street, Nanango at 10:00am this morning. Everyone is welcome to come along for a cuppa and a chat.
Bogan Bingo - Yarraman
The Yarraman Kindy will be hosting Bogan Bingo at the Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street, Yarraman tonight as a fundraiser. Doors at this free entry event will open at 6:00pm and all eyes will go down at 7:00pm. Game cards will be on sale and there's more than $500 in cash prizes to be won. A licensed bar and canteen will also be operating and there'll be a multi-draw raffle and lucky door prize as well, along with prizes for the best bogan outfits. Everyone is welcome! More details? Muddy Flats - Murgon

Friday Social Golf - Proston

Kingaroy QCWA Meeting
The Kingaroy branch of the QCWA will be holding their regular second Friday of the month meeting at the QCWA Rooms in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just next to Kingaroy RSL) from 9:30am to around 12:00 noon this morning. Wondai Business Networking Group
The newly-formed Wondai Business Networking Group will be holding its second meeting at Wondai Electrical Services at 10 Bunya Ave in Wondai at 5:30pm this afternoon. The group meets at different Wondai businesses each month and exists to allow business operators to meet and chat in an informal, unstructured environment. The Cuppa and Chat Group will be holding its weekly meeting at The Biscuit Tin behind St Mary's Church at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 10:00am to around 11:00am today. Friday Night At The Shed - Nanango
The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting (or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer). Bugger The Drought - Mondure
A Bugger The Drought information session for rural producers will be held at Mondure Hall from 6:30pm this evening. There'll be a free BBQ dinner, and a number of agencies will be on hand to provide information about services and support programs currently on offer. Wesleyan Grace Community Food Hampers will be available at 36 Fitzroy Street, Nanango from 9:00am to 12:00 noon today. Food hampers are available for a modest price to people facing financial difficulties.
South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
