KCCI Meet & Greet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding its third Meet & Greet for 2017 at Mortimer & Co at 6 Mary Street, Kingaroy at 5:15pm this evening (meeting gets underway at 5:30pm). Tonight's meet & greet will be addressed by a variety of speakers including Cos, Dominique and David Schuh from the Schuh Group; Linchon Hawks and Robert van Barneveld from Swickers; Karen Hugg from Kingaroy Shoppingworld; and South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell. A $10 meeting fee applies to cover the cost of drinks and nibbles but everyone is welcome, whether they're KCCI members or not. Proston QCWA Crafts Group
The Proston QCWA Crafts Group will be holding their regular meeting at the Proston QCWA Rooms in Rodney Street from 9:00am to 2:00pm today. The group meets on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Mondays of each month, and you don't need to be a QCWA member to attend. More details? Phone (07) 4168-9391.
Motorcycle Friendly Tourism Committee Meeting - Kingaroy
The third South Burnett Motorcycle Friendly Tourism steering committee meeting will be held at 7:00pm this evening at the Grand Hotel on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin (meals will be available from 6:00pm if you want to buy dinner). The aim of the meeting is to progress a recent decision by the South Burnett Regional Council to declare the South Burnett a motorcycle friendly region. Murgon SES Training Night
The Murgon SES will be holding their regular Monday night training session at the SES Building in Gore Street, Murgon from 7:00pm to 9:00pm tonight. Anyone from the Murgon district who's interested in joining the SES (or simply finding out more about what's involved) is very welcome to come along.
Digital Workshop - Bunya Mountains
Southern Queensland Country Tourism will be holding a workshop on aspects of online marketing for tourism operators at The Bunyas in Dandabah from 9:00am to 4:30pm today. The workshop will be facilitated by Liz Ward, the former CEO of the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse, and it will look at building digital “capability” to influence the decision-making of would-be visitors who are reviewing their travel choices online; commercial partnerships; booking technology; websites; and pricing for profitability. Sing Australia Meeting - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy branch of the Sing Australia singing group will be holding their regular Monday night meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy (opposite Shoppingworld) from 7:00pm to around 9:00pm this evening. The group have a welcoming, inclusive and fun approach to singing and meet every Monday except for school and public holidays. 85th Annual Kingaroy Eisteddfod
The eighth day of the 85th annual Kingaroy Eisteddfod will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy today. The Eisteddfod will be judging Solos/Duos/Trios dance entries, which will continue daily until next Friday, May 12th. Spectators are very welcome.
