Mothers Day Classic Community Fun Run / Walk - Kingaroy
The annual Mother's Day Classic Community Fun Run / Walk will be held this morning at Memorial Park at the corner of Haly and William Streets in Kingaroy. The Fun Run is being hosted by the Go Getta Girls as a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and if you're taking part you should assemble at 7:00am for a 7:30am start. There'll be two courses available -a 4km walk or an 8km run - and everyone is encouraged to dress up (pink is a recommended colour, but anything outrageous is fine). Entry fees are $25 for adults, $15 for children or concessions, $40 for a family with one adult or $60 for for a family with 2 adults if you register this morning, or less if you register online. The Mother's Day Classic was established in 1998 and is a national event which was brought to the South Burnett by the Go Getta Girls running club in 2012. The Run's emphasis is on fun, community spirit and participation and everyone is welcome! You can also read about how last year's Classic went (and see photos) on our website.
