Wondai Carols In The Park
Wondai's annual "Carols In The Park" community Christmas carols service will be held at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD at 6:00pm tonight. The evening will kick off with a performance by the Wondai & District Band before the official welcome by Winston Burrows, and then there'll be performances of popular Christmas carols by the Wondai State School Choir, the Wondai CWA & Community Choir and the Wondai Senior Citizens Choir in which everyone is welcome to join in. Santa will also be putting in an appearance during the course of the evening, and the Wondai Lions will be operating a sausage sizzle with tea, coffee and soft drinks. Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Seniors Having A Ball - Murgon
- The South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding a "Seniors Having A Ball" exercise class from 8:30am to 9:30am this morning. The program is designed to address the issues that many have with ageing and it's not just for seniors! It provides light exercise to keep the heart and joints moving, improving coordination and mobility. It also provides a beginner platform to start any fitness activity on. As well as physical fitness, it also has a fun social atmosphere too. The class fee is just $4 for PCYC members or $7 for non-members. More details? - The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet every Wednesday at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm.
