Seafood Sunday Buffet - Bunya Mountains
If you're looking for something great to do this weekend, Lyrics Restaurant at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains - just behind the Bunya Mountains General Store - will be holding their monthly "Seafood Sunday" from 11:00am onwards today (lunch will be served from around noon). The fully-licensed restaurant will be offering a 100% fresh, all-you-can-eat seafood smorgasboard, serving seafoods obtained from the coast yesterday. Wondai Home Produce Swap
The inaugural Wondai Home Produce Swap will be held outside Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street in Wondai's CBD from 9:00am to about 10:30am this morning. The swap is for people who have excess home produce they would like to swap or gift to others (non-food items can also be swapped), and the event has been organised by the South Burnett Permaculture group. Olympic Fun Walk - Blackbutt
An Olympic Fun Walk with former Olympian Justin Anlezark from Blackbutt to Benarkin and return via the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail will be held at 9:00am this morning. Registrations for the walk will open at the Roy Emerson Museum at Nukku Nook at 8:00am ($2 for a single pass or $5 for a family pass) and there'll be a warm-up session at 8:30am before the walk starts. Afterwards - at 11:30am - there'll be a meet & greet with Justin, followed by a sausage sizzle around noon. Maidenwell Markets
If you're heading up to the Bunya Mountains today, go via Maidenwell and you can browse the Maidenwell Markets at the Maidenwell Sportsgrounds (just next to the Rural Fire Brigade HQ in the heart of town) between 8:00am and 12:00 noon this morning. These markets offer a range of arts and crafts, local produce, plants, home baking, bric-a-brac, sauces, jams, chutneys, coffee, food and lots more (there's even a jumping castle for children). Timbertown Woodworkers Group - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Rock & Roll Dance Lessons - Nanango
Rock & Roll Dance Lessons will be held at the Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango from 1:00pm to 3:00pm this afternoon. The cost for a 2-hour lesson is $10 and beginners are very welcome. Kingaroy Mixed Martial Arts Competition
The annual Kingaroy Mixed Martial Arts Competition will be held at Taabinga State School's hall in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy today. The competition attracts more than 100 competitors from all over SE Queensland each year, and spectators are welcome (an admission fee applies).
Sunday Social Bowls - Yarraman

South Burnett Tabletop Gamers - Kingaroy
South Burnett Tabletop Gamers is a small but passionate tabletop games club servicing the South Burnett. Members' core interests usually cover a wide range of board, card and miniatures games, but the group is always on the lookout for new games to play. The main systems current members do play include Warhammer 40k/30k (Games Workshop), Mordheim, 9th Age, Batman Miniatures Game (Knight Models), Infinity (Corvus Belli), Star Wars X-Wing (Fantasy Flight), Magic the Gathering (Wizards), Pokemon TCG, Wrath of Kings (Cool Mini or Not) and a variety of other board games. The group meets at the 1913 Council Chambers behind the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre in Haly Street, Kingaroy every second Sunday from 10:00am until around 4:00pm. More details?
