SBMC 2016 Audition Day - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be holding their 2016 Audition Day at their shed at the rear of the South Burnett Enterprise Centre complex at 6 Cornish Street in Kingaroy from 1:00pm to 5:00pm this afternoon. The SBMC produce one major musical comedy production every year and perform it over several days at Kingaroy Town Hall. This year's production will be the classic "Little Shop Of Horrors" - about a monstrous plant that just keeps on growing - and the SBMC would like to hear from people who'd like to provide backstage help (eg: sound, lighting, costumes, make-up) as well as potential front-stage performers. Wondai Wolves Junior Rugby League 2016 Sign-On Day
- The Wondai Wolves Junior Rugby League will be holding their annual Sign On Day at the Wondai football grounds off the Bunya Highway just north of the CBD from 9:00am to 11:00am this morning, followed by a sausage sizzle. New players are very welcome!
135 Army Cadet Unit Open Day - Wondai
The 135 Army Cadet Unit will be holding their annual Open Day and 2016 Sign-On at their barracks at the 25/49RQR Depot in Bramston Street, Wondai (just next to Wondai Hospital) from 10:00am to 2:00pm today. If you're interested in the cadets this is a really great opportunity for a good look at their depot. You can also experience bush navigation, field craft, drill, first aid and much more at today's show to get some idea of the sorts of adventurous activities the Unit gets up to. The 135 Army Cadet Unit services the Murgon, Wondai, Kingaroy, Gayndah and Mundubbera areas and new cadets are very welcome (the minimum enlistment age is 12.5 years - you must turn 13 in 2016 - and the maximum is 19 years).
