Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery will be opening their eighth monthly exhibition for 2015 with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:00pm tonight in the newly refurbished Gallery building on the roundabout at Wondai. This month, the Gallery will be featuring three different exhibitions: Cherborg's Yidding Artists group will be exhibiting in the main gallery; digital artist Trev Wilkinson in the front gallery; and photograhers Jenny Ball and Geoff Grevell in the third gallery. Children from Murgon State School will be exhibiting in Kidz Korner as well. As usual, tonight's opening will also feature great hot and cold finger foods and punch, along with wine tastings from Cranes Winery, live entertainment and great socialising. Friday Night Poker - Kingaroy
Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy will be hosting Friday night poker games this evening. Registration starts at 6:30pm and the first cards are dealt at 7:00pm. Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). QCWA Gympie/South-Burnett Division Craft Exhibition - Murgon
The QCWA Gympie/South-Burnett Division annual Craft Exhibition will be held at the Murgon CWA Rooms from 9:30am to 3:00pm today. This annual craft exhibition and competition attracts a wide variety of excellent work from QCWA members all over the region, and the winning entries from each section will go on to the State competition, which will be held at Gympie in October. This year's Exhibition will feature over 55 different classes of works and entry is by gold coin donation. There'll also be great morning teas available for just $3, and lunches for just $12. Yarraman Ladies Bowls Club Meeting

Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Gipps Street, Nanango at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!
Friday Night Sax - Wondai
The South Burnett's very own "Sultan Of Sax" Tom McKenzie will be playing at the Wondai Hotel & Cellars in Haly Street, Wondai from 6:00pm until late tonight. Friday Morning Bingo - Kingaroy
The Endeavour Foundation will be running bingo games at Kingaroy RSL from 10:00am this morning (eyes down at 10:30am). There'll be four jackpots on offer, along with book games and raffles, and proceeds will go to help people with an intellectual disability. Everyone is welcome. More details? Star Weaving Session - Murgon
Graham House Comunity Centre at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon will be holding a Friday star weaving session from 10:00am to 12:00 noon this morning in support of the One Million Stars to End Violence international weaving project. These sessions are free to attend and weaving materials are provided. The group aim to weave 4,615 stars in the South Burnett before 2018. Blue Light Skating - Nanango

South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
