Queensland State Election
The Queensland State Election will be held today to decide which party will run the state for the coming 4 years. With COVID still an issue, this election has been a little different to previous years, with many people choosing to use pre-polling or postal voting options to avoid the crowds. Depending on where you live in the region you'll be voting for your preferred representative in Nanango, Callide or Gympie state electorates. Voting is compulsory, though, and today polling booths will open at 8:00am and close at 6:00pm. This election is expected to be close and the first results are expected later tonight. However, a declared final count may take several days and some pundits believe a hung parliament may be one possible outcome.
