2015 Kingaroy Show
The final day of the weekend-long 2015 Kingaroy Show will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street from 8:00am this morning (when the gates open to the public and miniature horse events commence next to the woodchop area) until late this afternoon. Today's Show will focus on horse events in the centre rings and show-jumping in the main ring, but there'll also be a Barnyard Chooks Competition for children in the Poultry Pavilion at 8:30am and lots of other pavillion displays to explore from that time onwards too. Other things to look out for today include smallgoods demonstrations in the Kucks Pavillion with meat tray raffles held each session; the judging of this year's Ute Show at 9:45am; sheep shearing demonstrations; Freestyle Motorcycle Events at Cheers Triangle; and pet Guinea Pig judging at 1:00pm. There'll also be lots of vintage machinery displays (tractors, bikes, and stationary motors); chainsawing; whip-cracking; free wagon rides for both children and adults; reptile displays; and an Australia's Living History show that will feature demonstrations of rope-making and broom-making, along with an authentic bush camp and working dogs shepherding chooks. As always, the Show will also have a jaw-dropping Sideshow Alley running - always the biggest in the region - and there'll be a lot more happening as well. Single day tickets to the 2015 Show are $30 per family (2 adults and 2 children), $10 for adults or $8 for pensioners and high school students (under-12s can get in for free). There's also free parking available in the grounds too. More info? Phone the Kingaroy Show Society on (07) 4162-5800
