Back To Benarkin Bush Picnic
A "Back To Benarkin Bush Picnic" will be held at First Settlers Park opposite the Benarkin General Store from 10:30am this morning until late this afternoon. Guests will be able to hear the stories of early Benarkin - which was really quite an amazing place - and the $10 admission fee includes lunch, sweets, a cold drink, tea and coffee. Bunya Mountains Markets
The monthly Bunya Mountains Markets will be running at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains today. The markets feature up to 30 stands selling quality, locally-produced fresh produce, arts and crafts and they'll be operating from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Local cafes like Poppies On The Hill and The Bunya Mountains Cafe will be offering special Market Day menus and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas, and walking trail maps will be available from both cafes, the Bunya Mountains General Store and market stalls if you'd like to take a walk through the adjoining National Park. Picnic In The Park - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Presbyterian Church will be holding a Picnic in the Park at Memorial Park in William Street, Kingaroy from 11:30am to 2:00pm today for an inexpensive family day out with a difference. Guests should BYO chair and food to share, and there'll be lots of fun games, Sunday school songs and a Bible storytelling session for children led by the Soul Doctor before lunch begins around 12:45pm. Sunday Bingo - Wondai

Tableland Markets
The Tableland Markets will be held at Tableland Hall from 7:00am to 12 noon today. The Tableland Markets are held on the fifth Sunday of the month (ie only a few times a year) and feature a wonderful showcase of local produce, plants, bric-a-brac, handmade crafts and baked goods. As always, tea, coffee and food will be available onsite, too. Tableland Hall is just a short scenic drive north of Murgon, up in the Tablelands district, and new stallholders are always welcome. Sunday Poker - Kingaroy

Social Junior Cricket Match - Murgon
The Murgon & District Cricket Club will be holding a social match for juniors at St Joseph's school oval at 32 Angel Street in Murgon at 12:30pm today, along with a BBQ. Players from Kingaroy and Nanango will also be taking part, so it promises to be a really fun afternoon! All juniors are welcome but to help plan the catering, an RSVP to the Murgon & District Cricket Club's Facebook page would be greatly appreciated.
Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. The South Burnett Orchid Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting at CTC's rooms at the South Burnett Youth Park in Somerset Street, Kingaroy from 2:00pm to around 3:30pm this afternoon. The Society exists for orchid enthusiasts of all skill levels and meets on the last Sunday of every month except December. New members and visitors are always very welcome. More details? Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. LMTRC Motorcycle Rally - Tingoora
The Leisure Riders Touring Motorcycle Club from Brisbane will be holding the third (and final) day of their "Back To Basics" three day motorcycle rally just off the highway on the Tingoora-Chelmsford Road at Tingoora today. The rally features limited catered food, no bar facilities, no power, no caravans (bikes only), a gymkhana and live music, all for $20 per head. Local rally enthusiasts are welcome to join in.
