South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Karaoke Night - Wondai
A Karaoke Night with popular South Burnett entertainers Love2Sing will be held at the Warana Hotel in Mackenzie Street, Wondai from 7:30pm until late tonight - just perfect if you want to party on after a big day trackside at the nearby Wondai Anzac Day Races. Meals will be available at the hotel too if you race in early. Everyone is welcome and admission is free. You can also read more about these relaxed and fun Karaoke Nights on our website.
Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Gipps Street, Nanango at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!
Friday Night Sax - Wondai
The South Burnett's very own "Sultan Of Sax" Tom McKenzie will be playing at the Wondai Hotel & Cellars in Haly Street, Wondai from 6:00pm until late tonight. Rugby League - Kingaroy
Friday night league comes to the South Burnett with visiting teams B Beerwah and Chinchilla taking on some of our talented local boys and girls at Kingaroy's TJ O'Neill Oval. At 7:00pm, the Kingaroy Red Ants U14s girls will play Beerwah girls on the side field, while the Red Ants U15s boys taken on Chinchilla on the main ground. Then at 8:00pm, the Red Ants U16s girls will play Beerwah U16s on the main ground. All welcome and the canteen will be open.
Funadix - Nanango

Blue Light Disco - Blackbutt
A Blue Light Disco for young people aged less than 18 years will be held at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street from 5:00pm to 8:00pm tonight. Admission is $5 and children under 5 need to be accompanied by an adult. Blue Light Discos are drug, alcohol, chewing gum and tobacco free and no passouts or early exit will be given without parental permission and/or collection.
Coverty Creek Social Club Meeting
The Coverty Creek Comunity Development and Social Club will be holding its regular Friday night social gathering at the Red Shed at 198 Coverty Road, Coverty from 5:00pm until around 10:00pm tonight. The Endeavour Foundation will be running bingo games at Kingaroy RSL from 10:00am this morning (eyes down at 10:30am). Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). South Burnett Pantry
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
